IRI condemns attack on Syria's al-Ekhbaria TV

Spokesman of the IRI Foreign Ministry Ramin Mehmanparast strongly condemned a recent terrorist attack targeting Syria's Al-Ikhbaria TV which killed a number of the channel's staffers. On Wednesday, terrorist groups attacked the headquarters of Al-Ikhbaria TV in a suburban area of the Syrian capital of Damascus. Syrian Information Minister Omran al-Zohbi said Wednesday that seven staffers of Al-Ikhbaria TV were killed in the assault, while an unspecified number of others were wounded. He added that the attackers also kidnapped several others, according to Press TV. “All international laws and regulations place emphasis on the necessity to support and protect the free dissemination of information and freedom of expression,” Mehmanparast said on Thursday.
