Iran karatekas seize 3 medals in Intl. Basel Open Masters

Iran’s athletes snatched one gold, one silver, and one bronze at the event.

Sajjad Ganjzadeh (+84kg) defeated his opponents from Algeria, Turkey, and Azerbaijan to reach the final.

In the final, Ganjzadeh beat his French rival 4-1 and claimed the gold medal of the tournament.

Bahman Asgari and Mehdi Khodabakhshi received silver and bronze medals respectively.

The 2023 International Basel Open Masters was held on September 16 in Basel, Switzerland.
