The German Mayor of the East German city of Jena Albrecht Schroeter is standing firm on his call for boycotting Israeli goods amid an ongoing Zionist smear campaign accusing him of being anti-Semitic, press reports said Saturday. Schroeter has faced the wrath of Germany's Zionist lobby for signing a petition of the Catholic peace organization Pax Christi’s campaign labeled “Occupation tastes bitter” which urges a ban on Israeli goods, notably those produced in the occupied West Bank. The German politician made clear he is adamant on his stance amid Zionist bullying tactics. A two-page flyer for the campaign states: "Israeli settlements on occupied territory violate Article 49 of the Geneva Convention. Whoever contributes to the profitability of these settlements contributes to the violation of human rights." The flyer also encourages German consumers to report "questionable" Israeli products on a website called www.lebensmittelklarheit.de.

German Zionist groups allege reportedly advocating a boycott of Israeli products is so aggressive it recalls the Nazi-era campaign “Don’t buy from Jews” and contributes to the delegitimization of the Jewish state
