Lightning kills 22 in India's Bihar

Heavy rains and thunderstorms accompanied by lightning strikes lashed the state on Friday affecting parts of the state, Xinhua reported.

The India Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in eastern parts of Bihar in the coming days. It cautioned people not to venture out during rain.

Local media, quoting official data, reported that 907 people were killed by lightning strikes across India in 2022
