U.S. war effort choked

In a two-hour long battle on Nov. 26 the use of American airpower led to the unprecedented death of 24 Pakistani soldiers and officers. This was a U.S. rather than a NATO operation because American forces were known to operate in the area, and the U.S. government has acknowledged its role.
