Palestinian premier set for third foreign tour

Democratically-elected Palestinian Premier Ismail Haniyeh is preparing to depart for his third regional tour in the coming days, a spokesman for the government said inGaza Saturday. Haniyeh's latest tour succeeded in breaking through a political siege imposed on the Gaza government since Hamas won elections in 2006, Taher al-Nunu said. During his last trip, from which he returned Thursday, Arab countries pledged to provide fuel for the Gaza Strip's sole power plant, while others suggested alternative to diesel, al-Nunu said.
