IRI stands atop Asian Free Style Championships

Iran's National Wrestling Team on Sunday crowned the champion of 2012 Asian Fre Style Wrestling Championships in Gumi, South Korea. The team could bag five gold, one silver and one bronze medals and scored 67 points in the two-day Asian championships. On the last day of the tournament Sunday, Mahdi Taghavi in 66 kg category, Sadegh Goodarzi in 74 kg category, Ehsan Lashkari in 84 kilograms and Parviz Hadi in 120 kilograms defeated their rivals and won gold medals. Hassan Rahimi in 55 kilograms had received a gold medal and Masoud Esmailpor in 60 kilograms bagged a silver medal on Saturday. But Erfan Amiri in 96 kilograms won the bronze medal for his team today.
