Larijani elected as Majlis temporary Speaker

The former Majlis (Parliament) Speaker Ali Larijani was elected as the Majlis temporary Speaker on Monday morning. Larijani and Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel were the two candidates for the post. Larijani gained 173 votes while Haddad-Adel gained 100 votes out of 275 votes. Majlis members will also elect the Speaker deputies on Monday. The ninth Majlis was inaugurated on Sunday morning.
