Iranian FM felicitates Sri Lanka on Independence Day

In a message posted on his X account on Sunday, Amir-Abdollahian expressed hope that Tehran and Colombo will expand ties in different areas, including economic and regional cooperation.

Amir-Abdollahian extended congratulations to his Sri Lankan counterpart and the people of Sri Lanka on this occasion.

National Day, also known as Independence Day, is a Sri Lankan national holiday celebrated annually on 4 February to commemorate the country’s political independence from British rule in 1948.
