Iranian, Egyptian presidents hold phone call

Lebanese Al-Mayadeen TV network reported that the presidents of Iran and Egypt agreed to take serious steps to resolve the outstanding issues between the two countries.

According to the Deputy Chief of Staff for Political Affairs at the Iranian Presidential office Mohammad Jamshidi, this was the first phone call between the two presidents, where Raeisi congratulated El-Sisi on his new presidential term, according to an official from the Iranian presidential office.

The two sides also discussed the latest developments in Palestine and the importance of maintaining Islamic unity, Jamshidi added.
