Iranian speed climber wins gold medal in Asian Climbing Cup

Alipour defeated his Kazakh rival at the final stage by submitting a record of 5.33 seconds.

Previously, Alipour beat his rival from Hong Kong by submitting a record of 5.53 seconds to advance to the semifinals.

In the semifinals, the Iranian speed climber downed another opponent from Hong Kong by submitting 5.41 seconds to advance to the final.

The 2023 Asian Climbing Cup is underway in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from December 12-16, 2023.
