UN Secretary General felicitates Iran’s National Day

“The United Nations joins in celebrating with the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran on this special day,” Guterres said in a message to Raisi, according to a Monday report by the IRNA's correspondent in UN headquarters in New York.

He stressed in the message that joining the Iranian celebrations on the National Day is a moment to remember the importance of advancing the Sustainable Development Goals, tackling the climate crisis, and expanding opportunity and hope for all.

“Now is the time for solidarity and shared solutions to help deliver peace, sustainable development and human rights for all,” said the UN chief.
