Persepolis claims 5th consecutive IPL title

The Tehran-based team defeated Paykan 2-0 on Friday night, the final matchday of the league, to win the trophy with 67 points.

Sepahan finished runner-up with 65 points after defeating third-place team Esteghlal on Friday at Azadi Stadium.

Machine Sazi and Saipa were relegated from the IPL.
