It's turtle time

On a day of sunshine and blue skies, when turtles are just coming out of hibernation to lounge on logs, turtles of the rubber variety were set for a race. The first-time event, held at the creek behind the George Murrell Home, was a fundraiser for 4-H. Coordinators considered the race a success, as more than 1,000 turtles were “adopted.”
