Megacity in People's Republic of China to test 6G technology

This is reported by Xinhua News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS, citing the city's communications department.

The city authorities have released a document that includes 12 points aimed at expanding 5G application scenarios and testing 6G in various areas.

At the end of 2023, Shanghai has a total of 92,000 active 5G base stations and 23,000 used standard server racks in data centres. In addition, relevant demonstration applications have already been presented in various sectors, including industrial internet, autonomous driving and smart healthcare.
