Iran ranks 3rd in IWF World Weightlifting Championships

Iran gained 468 points in the competitions that wrapped up in the Saudi capital on Sunday.

In 89kg weight class, Mir-Mostafa Javadi snatched two gold medals for Iran in both snatch and clean and jerk categories.

Iran’s Ali Davoudi bagged the bronze medal of the super heavyweight class in clean and jerk.

Armenia was crowned champion while China became runner-up at the prestigious event.
