Afghan elders worry U.S. may leave too soon

KABUL — Many of the hundreds of tribal elders convening here for an annual loya jirga conference say they have grown weary of foreign troops on their soil but are worried the troops will withdraw too soon and leave them at the mercy of the Taliban.
