Poland gives old map of Persian Gulf to IRI

Poland National Library will give an old map of Persian Gulf will be given to the Islamic Republic of Iran, the library curator said ina meeting with his Iranian counterpart. Referring to existing manuscripts of Holy Quran and valuable book of “Bahar-e-Danesh” in Poland National Library, Head of Library Tomasz Makowski called for Iranian cooperation in the filed of maintaining and protection of such books. Head of Iran National Library Ishaq Panahi, for his part, said that there are 875 volumes of books, 215 pieces of pictures and 236 documents related to Poland in Iran National Library. He added that part of the documents are related to the World War II period which had been compiled in a two-volume book and sent to the United Nations as well as to the Polish embassy in Tehran.
