White House discounts comparisons to Iraq lead-up

The White House tried to fend off a mini press rebellion Thursday by decrying any comparisons between the rush to strike Syria with the lead-up to the Iraq war, which President Obama vigorously opposed and was especially critical of the intelligence claims used to justify the invasion.
