The Obama administration wants Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on its side in the fight against the Islamic State group. President Barack Obama wrote Khamenei a letter in mid-October urging cooperation in the battle against ISIS, according to the Wall Street Journal .
