Iran Unlikely to Knuckle Under on Nukes Due to Oil’s Fall

Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who has the final say on key decisions, said in a Jan. 7 speech that Iran should develop an “economy of resistance” in which it increases local production of strategic goods and reduces its reliance on oil exports, which would make the sanctions less painful.
