"Wrapping up a very fruitful & inspiring African tour by visiting Ghana & Sierra Leone," Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said in a post on his Twitter account on Saturday.

"Africa is continent of golden opportunities. Proud of decades-long presence of Iran's Red Crescent & development projects there," Khatibzadeh added.

At the end of his post, the Iranian spokesman said "Our commitment to a prosperous Africa remains unwavering."
