Powerful 5.3-magnitude quake jolts southern Iran

The earthquake occurred in the Fin District of Bandar Abbas County at 08:29 local time at a depth of 19 km, according to the Iranian Seismological Center.

The epicenter of the quake was located at 56.14 degrees longitude and 27.64 degrees latitude.

There have been no immediate reports of possible casualties or damages to buildings so far.
