هشدار اوباما به ایران نسبت به ارسال سلاح به یمن

باراک اوباما به دولت ایران پیام روشنی فرستاد و گفت، سلاح‌رسانی بیشتر به شورشیان حوثی در یمن غیرقابل‌قبول است.

رئیس‌جمهور آمریکا سه‌شنبه شب گفت: "[این بحران] با یک جنگ نیابتی دیگر در خاک یمن حل نخواهد شد و ما به ایران گفته‌ایم باید بخشی از راه‌حل باشد نه بخشی از مشکل."

ایالات متحده ناو هواپیمابر تئودور روزولت را به منظور جلوگیری از سلاح‌رسانی کشتی‌های ایران به یمن، به خلیج عدن فرستاده است. اوباما در گفتگو با ان بی سی  گفت: "اگر به گروه‌های یمنی سلاح رسانده شود و رفت‌وآمد (دریایی) مورد تهدید قرار بگیرد، این مشکل‌ساز خواهد بود. پیام ما ابهامی ندارد، در این‌باره پیام بسیار روشنی برایشان فرستاده‌ایم."

یمن درگیر جنگ داخلی بین شورشیان شیعه تحت حمایت ایران و دولت مرکزی سنی است که تحت حمایت ائتلاف کشورهای عربی به رهبری عربستان سعودی قرار دارد.

عربستان سعودی اعلام کرده که در حال پایان دادن به حملات هوایی علیه شورشیان حوثی در یمن است. نیروهای زمینی و دریایی به منظور جلوگیری از سلاح‌رسانی به شورشیان در منطقه باقی خواهند ماند.

اوباما ابراز امیدواری کرد که در نهایت "بتوانیم وضعیت یمن را آرام کنیم و به یک توافق سیاسی دست یابیم."

همچنین اوباما در این گفتگو ابراز امیدواری کرد، توافق هسته‌ای با ایران، که آمریکا موقتا در ماه مارس با آن موافقت کرده است نهایی شود. وی گفت امیدوار است به "توافقی که جامعه جهانی بتواند به آن اعتماد کند و مورد راستی‌آزمایی قرار دهد" دست یابند.

با این حال، رئیس‌جمهور اطمینان‌خاطر داد، در صورت بروز درگیری ایالات متحده قادر خواهد بود برای فرونشاندن برنامه هسته‌ای ایران از زور استفاده کند. اوباما گفت: "بودجه دفاعی ما کمی کمتر از ۶۰۰ میلیارد دلار است. بودجه آن‌ها کمی بیشتر از ۱۷ میلیارد دلار است. با این‌که آن‌ها سیستم‌های دفاع هوایی دارند، اگر بخواهیم می‌توانیم به آن‌ها نفوذ کنیم."

اوباما خاطرنشان کرد، به رغم درگیری‌ها اخیر، وضعیت جهان بهتر از قبل است. وی گفت: "امروز در سراسر جهان، نسبت به ۳۰ یا ۴۰ سال قبل جنگ کمتری جریان دارد و خشونت کمتر است. اوضاع می‌تواند بهتر شود. فقط باید متحدان قدرتمندی داشته باشیم."
