IRI negotiator Jalili meets with Ayatollah Sistani

Secretary of the IRI Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), Saeed Jalili, met and conferred with Iraqi Religious Leader, Grand Ayatollah Ali Sistani, on Friday. Jalili and the Grand Ayatollah Sistani discussed latest regional and international developments. The meeting took place after Jalili's visit to the0 holy sites of Najaf in Iraq, including the holy shrine of Hazrat Ali (AS), the first Imam of Shii Muslims. Iranian top negotiator and the accompanying delegation had on Thursday night visited holy shrines of Hazrat Imam Hossein Ibn Ali (AS), the grandson of the Messenger of Allah Hazrate Muhammad (PBUH), and of Hazrat Abolfazl (AS), his step-brother, in Karbala of Iraq. Jalili and his delegation visited the holy sites after two-day intensive talks with the G5+1, headed by the EU Foreign Policy Chief, Catherine Ashton, on Iran nuclear issue.
